With over seventeen years in the industry, Brian Edwards understands what engineers need.

Now he can provide it with the launch of Industrial Trade Supplies.

 

Designed to be your one-stop shop for engineering tools, equipment and consumables, Industrial Trade Supplies stocks a wide range, including SP tools, Bosch Professional power tools, protective equipment, workware, fasteners and steel.

 

Industrial Trade Supplies is a new addition to Brian and wife Kirsty's existing Te Awamutu-based businesses, Edwards Engineering Services and Cut Fold NZ.

 

After his completing his engineering apprenticeship, Brian and his wife Kirsty, started Edwards Engineering Services in 2013. Originally the company was just Brian, working out of their home workshop, doing odd jobs for local businesses and farmers.

 

Ten years later, the company has grown and expanded in multiple ways.

 

In 2017, Brian and Kirsty separated the cutting and folding part of the business and now Cut Fold NZ runs alongside Edwards Engineering Services.

 

The two companies now employ over 20 staff, including several apprentices. Brian and Kirsty appreciate the opportunities afforded to Brian during his apprenticeship and want to be able to support trainee engineers in the same way.

 

After a number of workshop relocations to bigger spaces over the years, in 2023 Edwards Engineering Services and Cut Fold NZ moved into a custom built premises in Te Awamutu. The new workshop is fully equipped with lathes, CNC milling machines, a CNC plasma cutter, brake press, 12 tonne gantry cranes and a Bystronic 20kW laser cutter - the most powerful laser cutter in the Southern hemisphere. There is also ample office space for Kirsty and her administration team and the retail space for Industrial Trade Supplies.

 

Brian and Kirsty are passionate about both the engineering industry within the Waikato and New Zealand, and also their local community, supporting a number of events, causes and clubs with sponsorship.

 

With the addition of Industrial Trade Supplies to Edwards Engineering Services and Cut Fold NZ, Brian and Kirsty are excited to take the businesses to a whole new level and provide a one stop shop for their customers.
